About the Program
This 40-week program includes 6 weeks of practicum, preparing graduates for successful careers as Nursing Unit Clerks, Nursing Unit Coordinators, Nursing Unit Assistants and Health Unit Coordinators.
A Nursing Unit Clerk graduating from Stenberg College is qualified for employment in other provinces within Canada. Graduates are also able to seek a professional designation in the United States as a Certified Health Unit Coordinator.
Admission Requirements
Pre-requisites
Completion of grade 12 or equivalent*
Passing verbal test if English is an additional language*
Certified five-minute keyboarding test with a typing speed of 25 gross words per minute or higher with a maximum of 5 errors
Completion of a Criminal Record Consent Form under the?Criminal Record Review Act
* Entrance requirements can be met with evidence of alternate assessments such as challenge exams, or acceptable standardized English equivalency tests as per the Stenberg College language proficiency chart. Evidence of post-secondary studies at an equivalent level where English was the first language is acceptable.
