The HVAC Technician program delivers the components of the TSSA G3 and G2 curriculum up to the level of? licensing* required in the Fuels industry. In addition the program covers the foundations of Air Conditioning, the Principles of Residential and Commercial design and HVAC safety including Ozone Depletion Prevention training. Delivery of course material combines instructor led lectures with supervised workshops providing hands-on experience to prepare students for industry service requirements including diagnosis and procedures. Upon graduation, the student will be able to Install, troubleshoot and overhaul heating, ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems.
*To be eligible for employment as a licensed Gas Technician, students must successfully complete the TSSA G3 and G2 examinations. Examinations are held at Stanford College.

An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or
Students are 18 years of age or older and pass the program entrance examination
Heating and air conditioning technicians, often called HVAC technicians, work on heating, ventilation, & cooling systems that control the temperature and air quality in buildings. Although HVAC technicians are trained to both install and maintain heating and air conditioning systems many focus on either installation or maintenance.
