ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
? Grade 12 graduate or mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older)
? Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to
Identify, define and implement basic color terms, theories, systems and? processes
Identify and apply color use to basic design principles including: Unity, variety, balance, movement scale, dominance, simplicity/ economy
Develop an awareness of color psychology
Explore and apply Color, Media and Techniques to create effective visual compositions
Explore hue, value, saturation, warm/cool, complementary and simultaneous contrast
Demonstrate symbolic, emotional and visual use of color.
