How do I know if I qualify?
Easy, go to this link provided by The Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Trade Board (AIT): Barber?Trade Qualifier – Work Experience?Preparation which is for experienced tradespeople seeking certification in an Alberta-designated trade.
?
In Alberta, the?Barber Trade?is a compulsory trade, meaning that a person who is doing this work must hold a valid credential. You can?check your credentials here.
?
Workers in this (these) trade(s) who don?t hold that credential, may have been working in the trade long enough to have gained enough experience to be working at the level of a journeyperson and don?t need the supervision and training of an entry-level apprentice. These workers are eligible for the Trades Qualifier application and can?challenge the trade.
