The Social Services Worker ? Foundations program prepares?graduates for positions in the community social services field with attention to the specific needs of three populations: youth, Indigenous peoples, and people affected by addiction.
The program is structured with a core set of courses that provide a general overview of contemporary issues and values in Canadian social services work. Students can also specialize with additional training in the needs of specific populations such as people in recovery and youth.

Social service professionals are able to apply their skills to a wide range of situations. Whether it?s helping families through a crisis or working with victims of trauma, their roles within society are very important.
This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training.
