This 7 week (210 hours) program enhances the apprentice’s understanding of all aspects of the Carpentry trade, both theoretical and practical. The program has a mix of on-campus training as well as on the jobsite work experience. Students will improve their skills in safely operating hand tools, power tools and other equipment used by carpenters. The focus of the program will be on
further developing and applying practical skills for the residential construction workplace.
To be successful in the program as a whole, each individual component must be successfully completed with at least a 70% grade. The 210 hours that make up the program are broken down as follows.
Admission Requirements
Be a registered Carpenter apprentice with the Industry Training Authority; and
successful completion of Carpenter Level 2.
