Pre-Med Program

The curriculum of the Pre-Med Program is highly integrative and clinical based. This accelerated pre-med program guides you through Caribbean medical school requirements, helping you fulfill your dreams of becoming a doctor. At Evergreen, we seek students who demonstrate a strong desire to succeed, coupled with an understanding of the compassionate and humanitarian aspects of the practice of medicine

Our program is designed to prepare you to become a knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate physician of the future. It?s a rewarding program for people who have little doubt about their chosen career paths as future doctors. Our teaching instructors hold MDs and/or PhDs or masters in their respective field.
Our Program fully prepares medical students for pre-clinical studies. High school graduates with certain scholastic achievements are accepted into this program. As a matter of fact, pre-med students in this program benefit by securing their positions as medical students without first obtaining bachelors or master?s degrees. This saves you time and money, making medical school in the Caribbean more affordable.
Once you?ve decided to be pre-med student, your focus will be preparing yourself to get into med school. Med schools are infamous for being competitive and only accepting the best, so you?ll want to be well prepared.
Pre-med Requirements
The requirements at Eastview pre-med program include an approximate high school GPA of 2.5-3 or better. Completion of Grade 12, OSSD, or Mature Student Status. MCAT or bachelor?s degree is not required. Two letters of recommendation and copy of resume from your school authority is required.
Pre-Med Courses & Curriculum
As an Eastview College student of pre-med, we offer our students the courses you need to meet the basic requirements for medical schools. We also help prepare you for the MCAT, increasing your chances of becoming a med student.
Students will undergo a three semester Pre-Health Sciences program to earn the credits and experience needed for their chosen career path. The Pre-Health Sciences program consists of three semesters (50 weeks total) and earns a total of 90 credits. This allows students to be well prepared for their path in healthcare.
Canadian students can stay close to home and study in the comfort of their own environment. Our knowledgeable and professional instructors not only educate, but tutor and advise students throughout the course of their study. Students are instructed based on a rigorous curriculum, which will set a strong foundation for students to build upon in their future careers. Students complete 90 credit hours of the Pre-Med program in one year, which provides the prerequisites to be qualified and eligible for admission into MD program.
