The training includes: network architecture, network security, Switching and Routing, Wireless Network Technology, Infrastructure Configuration, Active Directory Services, Administering Server, Monitoring, Operating, Configuring and Deploying a Private Cloud. introduces students to the technique, skills and concepts that will enable them
to achieve personal, academic and professional success.

Project+ – This CompTIA training courses helps you to prepare for CompTIA Project+ exam.
Introduction to Programming – This instructor-led course is intended for students who want to learn how to write Python code that logically solves a given problem.
Database Fundamentals – This training course helps you build an understanding of topics such as relational and non relational Database Concepts, Creating Database Objects, Manipulating Data, Data Storage, and Administering a Database.
A+ Essentials?- Students will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to install, build, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, and performing preventative maintenance on personal computer hardware and operating systems. Uses Exam Code 220-1001.
A+ IT Technician?- This hands-on PC repair course familiarizes students with standard PC hardware and software systems.??Uses Exam Code 220-1002.
Network+?- deals with basic networking concepts and configurations.?Uses Exam Code N10-007.
Security+?- helps students understand the field of network security and how it relates to other areas of information technology.??Uses Exam Code SYO-501.
Windows Server Infrastructure – Introduces to management of hardware, user groups, and computer accounts, file access and disc storage. It also includes concepts such as Group Policy, performance monitoring, backups, disaster recovery and Windows Server 2003 security features.
Network Infrastructure – Introduces to Microsoft Windows Server network infrastructure to provide knowledge of different network types and common network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP).
Managing Desktops – Plan and Maintain Network Infrastructure: Introduces on how to plan and implement server roles, server security, network infrastructure, routing, remote access, server ability, network security and security infrastructure.
Identity Management – Introduces to the basics of how directory services work and the role they play in the network, specifically how the directory concept is implemented in Microsoft?s Active Directory.
Managing Client Systems – Introduces to installation and configuration of Windows Operating System, including wide area networks, local security management and security for domain members.
Server Security – Introduces to the knowledge and skills for analyzing business requirements for a secure Microsoft Windows Server network infrastructure.
Microsoft Exchange Server – Introduces to skills and concepts of installing Microsoft Exchange Server, creating and managing recipients, configuring client connectivity, managing servers, implementing security, creating and managing public folders, choosing appropriate data storage hardware, backing up and restoring exchange data and migrating from previous versions of Exchange.
Linux Fundamentals – Introduces to basic installation, operation and troubleshooting services on Linux workstations and servers.
Linux Intermediate – Introduces to all the key elements like installation, file system, package managers, network configuration, backup, restore, Kernel configuration, TCP/IP, printing, DHCP and device configuration.
CCNA – This hands-on course familiarizes students with connecting to WAN; implementing network security, network types, network media, routing and switching fundamentals.
CCNP?- This course emphasizes topics such as security, converged networks, quality of service (QoS), virtual private networks (VPN) and broadband technologies.
CWNA, Wireless Technology?- Students gain the skills needed to install, configure and troubleshoot WLAN hardware peripherals and protocols.??Using Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA).
Advanced Routing and Services – Provides information on IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, DHCP, and routing, underlying mechanism and configuring EIGRP routing protocol. Covers failure detection, network summarization, router filtering, and techniques to optimize WAN site, core concepts of OSPF, BGP, configure and verify VRF, GRE tunnels.
Cloud DevOps – The course prepares students to plan for DevOps, use source control, and scale Git for an enterprise. The course also provides insights to consolidate artifacts, design a dependency management strategy, manage secrets, implement continuous integration, implement a container build strategy, design a release strategy, set up a release management workflow, implement a deployment pattern, and optimize feedback mechanisms.
Identity and Services – The course provide details of the key components of Office 365 management, configuring Microsoft 365 tenant, organizational profile, tenant subscription options, component services, user accounts and licenses, and security groups. The course outlines planning to implement Azure AD Connect, manage synchronized identities, implement password management in Microsoft 365 using multi-factor authentication and self-service password management.
Network Security Analysis – The course provides details to capture, monitor, and respond to network traffic vulnerabilities and findings. It also emphasizes on software and application security, automation, threat hunting, and IT regulatory compliance. Students will apply behavioral analytics to networks to improve the overall state of security through identifying and combating malware and advanced persistent threats. Students will apply proactive threat intelligence, security solutions, security monitoring and utilize basic digital forensics techniques.
Shell Scripting – The course provides insights on how to use PowerShell on windows and windows server. The course outline the powershell?s core features, command line, manage the filesystem, Windows registry, event logs, and processes. Students will learn to write scripts to manage simple and structured files, Internet-connected scripts, code reuse, user interaction and administrative tasks such as the filesystem, registry, event logs, processes, services, and managing networked or domain-joined systems.
Linux System Administration – The course covers essential commands to manage system activities, operating running systems, user and group management, configuring networking, service configuration, and storage management.? Student will be proficient to design, install, configure, and manage a system installation. This course maps to the current Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator Certification.
Kubernetes Administration – The course provides the ability to install, configure and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters. Students will have an understanding of key concepts of Kubernetes networking, storage, security, cluster maintenance, logging and monitoring, application lifecycle, troubleshooting, API object primitives and the ability to establish basic use-cases for end users. This course maps to the current Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certification.

WHY THIS PROGRAM?

The Canadian Government has projected that there is a growing demand in Ontario as well as the other provinces. The government stresses that the industry is becoming increasingly competitive and that companies are increasingly looking for well-qualified applicants that have a diverse array of knowledge and skills. Entrance into this industry requires a post-secondary education and computer networking-based certification are assets in securing employment.

ASSOCIATED NATIONAL OCCUPATION CLASSIFICATION (NOC) CODES

After pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Network Administration students are eligible for positions falling under the following NOC Codes

NOC 2281 – Computer network technicians?- Computer network technicians establish, operate, maintain and co-ordinate the use of local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), mainframe networks, hardware, software and related computer equipment. They set up and maintain Internet and intranet Web sites and Web-server hardware and software, and monitor and optimize network connectivity and performance. They are employed in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors. Supervisors of computer network technicians are included in this unit group.
NOC 2147 ? Network Specialist?- Network Specialist research, plan, design, develop, modify, evaluate and integrate computer and telecommunications hardware and related equipment, and information and communication system networks including mainframe systems, local and wide area networks, fibre-optic networks, wireless communication networks, intranets, the Internet and other data communications systems. They are employed by computer and telecommunication hardware manufacturers, by engineering, manufacturing and telecommunications firms, in information technology consulting firms, by governmental, educational and research institutions and in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors.
NOC 2281 – Computer Network Technicians – Computer network technicians establish, operate, maintain and co-ordinate the use of local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), mainframe networks, hardware, software and related computer equipment. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications. They set up and maintain Internet and intranet Web sites and Web-server hardware and software, and monitor and optimize network connectivity and performance. They are employed in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors. Supervisors of computer network technicians are included in this unit group.
NOC 2171 – Information Systems Analysts and Consultants -Information systems analysts and consultants analyze systems requirements, develop and implement information systems development plans, policies and procedures, and provide advice on a wide range of information systems issues. Systems security analysts confer with clients to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware, and develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches. They are employed in information technology consulting firms and in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors, or they may be self-employed.
NOC 0213 – Computer and Information Systems Managers-Computer and information systems managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of organizations that analyze, design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems. Assemble and manage teams of information systems personnel to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems. They are employed throughout the public and private sectors.

Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications
Responsible for supporting the users of the infrastructure they develop, and the first line of defense is protecting the systems and services against hackers.
Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
Assess an organization?s technology infrastructure and explore options for moving to the cloud.
Provide problem-solving services to network users.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
Control and monitor e-mail use, Web navigation, and installed software.
Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Employers are generally looking for candidates that have a Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as being technically proficient in Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco products.
