The Medical First Responder (MFR) program is designed to provide the student with the confidence, knowledge and skills required to provide first-on-scene emergency care to patients in medical and traumatic emergencies. Overview.
The Medical First Responder (MFR) program is designed to provide the student with the confidence, knowledge and skills to provide first-on-scene emergency care to patients in medical and traumatic emergencies. The MFR is a valued member of volunteer Fire & Rescue Services, Fire Services, safety and security services, and the industrial environment and remote settings.
MFR is an entry-level program to provide initial scene safety, patient assessment, and appropriate treatment. The program is an essential step for those wanting to continue their medical education in the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Program or into the Primary Care Provider (PCP) and Advanced Paramedic Care Provider (ACP) professional roles.
This is an excellent program for those with responsibility as an Advanced Workplace First Aid Attendant. The MFR works with the registered levels of prehospital care, the EMR (Emergency Medical Responder), the PCP (Primary Care Paramedic) and ACP (Advanced Care Paramedic) professionals, to ensure that patient care is available to all locations.
This 300 hour course is a comprehensive blend of online learning, face to face classes and lab and practical sessions.

Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps; 100% attendance and participation, Students are assessed throughout the program with regular reviews, quizzes, and in practical, hands-on sessions and program final examinations include theory and practical exams.
