Become A Dental AssistantThe Dental Assistant Level I & II diploma program is both comprehensive and intensive. Upon graduation, the student will possess the knowledge and skills to participate fully in the dental office through a broad range of clinical and laboratory skills. In their assisting role with a dentist, Dental Assistants may prepare the treatment rooms, prepare dental materials, assist with the suction apparatus, transfer dental instruments, expose and process radiographic images as well as disinfect and sterilize. Administrative training includes basic manual and computerized office procedures such as appointment book control and maintaining accounts receivables.The Dental Assistant, also known as the Intra Oral Dental Assistant (Level II), will work both independently and as a valued member of the dental team. Our Dental Assistant Level I & II program will prepare the student to perform direct patient care under the direction of the dentist. Once the graduate has successfully completed the National Dental Assisting Examining Board exam, the dentist may delegate intraoral skills including the application and removal of dental dams, selective coronal polishing of the teeth, application of anti-cariogenic agents perform oral hygiene instruction, application of pit and fissure sealants, application of topical anesthetic and desensitizing agents, polishing of restorations, removal of sutures, perform oral irrigation, application of over the counter whitening agents and obtaining preliminary impressions for study casts.In-house and outside practicum experience will provide an environment for students to apply and adapt the knowledge and skills obtained.Is the Dental Assistant Level I & II program right for you?This program is an excellent fit for:?
