You will understand the different classes of drugs and their use in various treatments, be well-versed in medical terminology, gain knowledge about the Canadian healthcare system, and learn clinical procedures generally performed in a medical office ? prescription handling, assisting patients with their exams, and diagnostic testing.
You will also take up Digital Literacy for Professionals, which will help you learn fundamental concepts and principles of learning and working in a digital environment. The Medical Office Assistant program will help build on your communication and multi-tasking skills, as well as enhance your knowledge in Accounting applications. You will be encouraged to be a team player while putting your professional and interpersonal skills to practice throughout the course of this program.
